Nicole Maxali (Comic/Actor/Producer/Dream Believer) began her producing career five years ago at the ABC7 public affairs department. There she produced “Filipino-Americans in the Bay Area: Past, Present & Future” and “Local and International Efforts to Stop Sex Trafficking” for ABC’s Beyond the Headlines.
But at the end of 2005 she quit her job in the news industry and began her journey as a working artist/non-profit humanitarian. Since that first day she stepped out of the newsroom and onto the stage she has transformed through various local artistic productions at Bindlestiff Studios, Off Market Theater, Brava Theater and Herbst Theater to name a few.
All of these stage productions have inspired Nicole to take on the role as the “Love in the Time of Breast Cancer” Co-producer as well as explore the world of stand-up comedy. This past year, she was able to live out two of her dreams. The first was opening for comic genius, Dave Chappelle, at the SF Punchline (5 times within 6 months!). The other dream, was fulfilled in November with the original musical “Love in the Time of Breast Cancer”.
Nicole is currently working on a One Woman Show which she hopes to tour in 2009. To view some of her acting skills, you can see her in the NEW & original sci-fi webseries, EVE: Beauty & the Blade.
