It’s a jungle out there, and this month
Wired delivers the new rules for highly evolved humans, providing readers with a scientific approach to dozens of 21st century predicaments, featuring some
very bad advice from Brad Pitt such as: Don’t online stalk before a first date: A 2007 study by Cornell and Michigan State found that 81 percent of participants who used online dating sites provided false information about how short, old or heavy they were. Judge your dates face-to-face. The August issue of
Wired hits newsstand July 21.
Some of Brad’s other bizarre do’s and don’ts:

- Never answer your cell during a movie if it’s urgent. It may be a brief interruption but what if someone sitting near you is trying to make a decent bootleg? Don’t be so damn selfish.

- If you can’t buy it online, feel free to Bittorrent: It’s OK to fulfill your sudden, intense need to watch “Pineapple Express.” Just think of it as an act of civil disobedience. You’re letting the studio know it’s time to stop limiting the potential of the Internet by restricting themselves to hard-copy formats. Download away!

- Don’t hesitate to haggle on Craigslist: Overpricing is common, due to what behavioral economists call the endowment effect. In other words, the mere fact of owning something tends to make sellers overestimate its worth. Try talking some sense into them.
I never thought Brad Pitt was a closet “Tech Geek”. LOL!
