GameChanger :: The Honda FCX Clarity

Honda Clarity

In California, everybody drives. To work, school, the grocery store, to the park…we do a lot of driving. And as my car gets older and older I start to realize that maybe, just maybe, it might be time for an upgrade. Although, I’ve had my Honda Accord for 12 years and she still runs great! (Guess I should owe that to Japanese Engineering, right?) But with gas prices, air pollution, and the reliabilty of my car waning – one has to wonder, “Should I make the (car) change?” With the latest flock of cars boasting new features and Technology promising to make our lives easier, I just might make that change.

New Automobiles and even Newer Technologies are slowly persuading the masses that CHANGE is a good thing. Case in point, the ongoing debate over Climate Change have spiraled Car Companies into a Green Automobile initiative. From more fuel efficient cars, to Hybrid and Electric-only vehicles it looks like we are really making progress.

The only downfall to these changes, sadly, is that it’s only temporary. We are still burning fuels, we still need to burn fuel to power Electric-powered vehicles, batteries are expensive and need to be replaced, the list is long.

If we really wanted to make a concerted effort, a real change, we need a GameChanger. Enter the Honda FCX Clarity.

American Honda president and CEO Tetsuo Iwamura proclaims:

The FCX Clarity is a shining symbol of the progress we’ve made with fuel cell vehicles and of our belief in the promise of this technology,” and “Step by step, with continuous effort, commitment and focus, we are working to overcome obstacles to the mass-market potential of zero-emissions hydrogen fuel-cell automobiles.

Well, said. Check out the prolific video of this GameChanger w/ James May of Top Gear, after the jump. Trust me. It’s Haute Azifug.

So when will the Honda Clarity be available to the masses? The World can’t wait, can it?
