The Epic battle between Apple and Microsoft continues...

Technology Wars. Defined as “the battle between competing [technology] manufacturers,” the fierce competion among Tech Giants ensures us that the Consumer will always have the latest in Technology. Just look at how far we’ve come. Game consoles have become more advanced, sleeker, and more powerful. Advancements in automobile technology have led to the creation of more eco-friendly vehicles. And computers have become so small, that they could even fit in the palm of your hand. The Technology Wars advances Technology and has given us more options. And its always great to have more choices, right?

We may be burdeoned with The Paradox of Choice when new technology arrives, and none could be more truer than the latest release of computer Operating Systems (OS) – the Apple Snow Leopard or Windows 7. Both Apple and Microsoft are releasing their OS around the same time and they both boast being the best, so how do you decide which OS to choose?

/Begin the OS Wars.

Apple Snow Leopard or Windows 7

When the dust settles and the OS Wars are over, who will overcome? Sound off in the comments.

#1 Matt Christopherson :

Microsoft still has the volume market pinned, guaranteed. Since Apple only provides setup and drivers for Apple sold hardware, MacOS is not really a feasible replacement for general computer users, especially those on budget or in the custom market. This isn’t to say the use of MacOS in something other than a true Mac platform isn’t impossible, now that they support some Intel hardware and such, but it isn’t consumer friendly since it requires in depth computer knowledge and probably some hacking around to get it working.

As much as Microsoft drives me nuts with their seemingly innate ability to create mediocre products that take over markets and require constant maintenance, updating, service and repairs, they are, and will be, the winner in this race.
