After fieldingand answering the many Digital Single-Reflex Lenses (DSLR) questions that my friends and family had for me this past weekend, I thought a post regarding what they (and I) have learned about photography was in order. Mind you, I’m no expert. Nor, do I claim to be. However, my thoughts are that perhaps owning a DSLR (all of 1.5 years) puts me in a position to teach others on wht i have learned. And for that, I willingly oblige.
So why even a DSLR in the first place? You can always take photos with a trusty, compact camera correct? Despite the ease of use and convenience a compact digital camera brings, the allure lies in the “quality” of photos a DSLR is capable of capturing. And as the technology for DSLR’s becomes more affordable, Trends are moving more and more towards Consumers looking to DSLR’s as the gadget of choice for Photography.
Again, like I said before, I’m no expert. And if you want advice on how to take photos or what camera equipment you should get, these sites will do the job. They offer expert advice, a strong community, and everything you’ve ever wanted to know about photography:
Now that we’ve taken a look at some sites that can assist you in all things Photography, let’s take a real look at whether or not a DSLR is right for you.
Are the days of carrying slim, lightweight, and compact digital cameras over? With more and more consumers looking to purchase DSLR cameras over compact ones, it’s starting to look like it. And with no Trend-end in sight and our decision on going DSLR – the next logical step is to answer that Age-Old question, “What Brand/Company should I go with?” To answer that question, I’d simply answer with “Whatever you want to go with,” but let’s make this entertaining, shall we? How? By taking a look at the Philosophy of each of the companies’ that offer DSLR’s. Can you guess who we have a kindred spirit towards? And don’t forget to let us know in the comments where your loyalties lay. HauteFotoSnapping to all everyone and EnJoi your DSLR’s!

The corporate philosophy of Canon is kyosei
A concise definition of this word would be “Living and working together for the common good,” but our definition is broader: “All people, regardless of race, religion or culture, harmoniously living and working together into the future.”
Unfortunately, the presence of imbalances in our world in such areas as trade, income levels and the environment hinders the achievement of kyosei. Addressing these imbalances is an ongoing mission, and Canon is doing its part by actively pursuing kyosei.
Truly global companies must foster good relations, not only with their customers and the communities in which they operate, but also with nations and the environment. They must also bear the responsibility for the impact of their activities on society. For this reason, Canon’s goal is to contribute to global prosperity and the well-being of mankind, which will lead to continuing growth and bring the world closer to achieving kyosei.
