American Idol “auditions” have officially been wrapped up and now, the musically talented few that heard those magical words, “You’re going to Hollywood!,” will soon embark on that journey to Hollywood. What lies ahead for these musical hopefuls? A chance at Musical Stardom!

Fast forward Hollywood: Contestants will harmonize/battle each other vocally in hopes of reaching the coveted TaupeSpot for the On-Air competition. But getting there is a journey hard won. To even reach the On-Air pinnacle that is American Idol, contestants will face the toughest challenge yet. Faced w/ unprecedented pressures, emotional/physical fatigue/breakdowns, harsh realities, and more – contestants will most def be brought to Hell and back to see if they can withstand the vigors that a Musical Career path entails. Its tough, and we’ve got our favorites, sure. But like I said, during Hollywood Week, its no walk in the park. ShatsTough, mang!

Which is why I # American Idol. No other program on the Planet provides an avenue for aspiring singers to show to the World that they can sing. In nine (9) short Seasons, American Idol has bolstered the musical careers of many. Whether it be through winning the Show itself or gaining more exposure for themselves, contestants just making it into the On-Air competition of American Idol can already claim themselves to be broken into “the Industry.” And then you have your William Hung’s and Larry Platt’s…

I’m not sure if I’ll be watching American Idol after the auditions. In all due honesty, the auditions are probably the only reason I watch the show in the first place. I just think that anyone that makes it after Hollywood Week already has it made. And in the end, that’s what its all about – fulfilling your Dreams.
