Air Jordan VI (6) Retro “Carmine”

Releasing this Saturday, May 24th, is another Air Jordan retro in an original colorway. This time we have the Air Jordan VI Retro “Carmine”. These shoes are going to be highly sought after with all the hype surrounding it. Most newer sneakerheads don’t really know the significance of this particular shoe, but it is the shoe and colorway that Michael Jordan wore throughout the 1990-1991 season, when the Chicago Bulls won their first championship in team history. The Bulls would go on to win the next two championships in a row in 1991-1992 and 1992-1993 to complete the three-peat. The shoe starts with a white base, with carmine red on the toe box and side panel inserts. The sole is also white based, with black accents and of course the icy sole. The most predominant feature of this Air Jordan model is the rubber tongue with the two pull holes at the top. The last time this colorway made an appearance was in 2008 as part of the Countdown Package (or CDP as the sneaker community refers to it). Call your local shoe store to see how they’re handling the release as each store has a different procedure. This is one of my “holy grail” pairs, so I’m definitely going to be trying really hard to secure myself at least one pair. Good luck to everyone else that is trying to grab a pair!
