The good homies at BAIT down in Diamond Bar in SoCal are finally releasing the final installment of their BASICS Program collaboration shoes with Asics on Saturday, May 3rd. This final edition comes in the form of the Gel Lyte III (just like the first two models) and is named the “Nippon Blues”. This third edition takes a different turn from its two predecessors as it gives a nod to Asics’ Japanese roots instead of the traditional camo used in the first two releases. The “Nippon Blues” sports a blue printed material used in traditional Japanese clothing and is mixed with blue suede accents, with red waxed rope laces to complete the look. This release is going to coincide with the opening of their third retail location on Melrose Ave in Los Angeles. Hoping to get my hands on a pair, but it’s not looking too good for me. Their online raffle and in-store reservations at their Diamond Bar and Orange County locations are closed already, but they will have limited pairs available at the new Melrose location on a first come, first serve basis. If you’re in the LA area, you should definitely pay them a visit!
