For the life of me, I can’t figure out what would compel someone to shell out $45 for a plain white tee. I mean, is American Apparel (AA) that HauteAzifug? Are the tees made out of gold, or something? I don’t get it. Or maybe I do. After perusing the AA site for awhile, it donned on me, “Its the SEX!” The sexually charged ads, the sexually charged photoshoots. The scores of faux-nudity. It really does sell. Case in point: What do you do if you want to sell women’s underlings? Throw a contest of course. And so the search for Best Bottom in the World – begins. Update: It appears to have concluded. If you’ve ever attended a carshow or Comic book convention, no doubt you’ll see massive amounts of vendors. As a visitor and guest, the abundance of vendors is fauxin’ awesome! But as a vendor… not so much. My guess is that nobody likes to get overshadowed, or worse yet, ignored. At an event where vendors spend so much money on an event, the intent is to get noticed. More visibility. And for that kind of attention, sometimes you gotta kick and scratch just to get noticed. What do you do? It depends. A gimmick can work. Snazzy booth decor. More lights and sounds, bells and whistles. And let’s not forget about the freebies. There are always the freebies. But if you are looking for a sure-fire way of getting attention, there is always the Tried-and-True. And that is: the allure of the Booth Babe.

Ah, yes. From Trade Shows to E(XPO)’s, the sole intent of the Booth Babes Tour de Force is to lure you in with there mesmerizing siren song and Haute Azifug looks. Whether the Booth Babes tactic works or not, you can bet people are looking. And sometimes that’s all you need. Does the tactic work? Let’s take a look at some of the stylish looks these Booth Babes are rauxin’ and you can tell me the answer to that.

More manly than a “murse” and way more stylish than the “fanny pack,” the newly worded – “Belt Pack” Men’s Fashion is coming back quicker than a Twitter tweet or Facebook status update! Let me be the first to admit it, guys nowadays carry a lot of shat. What’s in our pockets? Wallets, cell phones, car/house keys, cameras and iFlips, and the beat goes on… Backpacks and shoulder bags don’t won’t cut it. They’re just too school like. And fanny packs and murses are, well, not at all that fashionable for men. I mean, come on! What is this? The ’80’s?

Women have been parading around in purses, fanny packs, and every accessory known to (wo)man and haven’t been getting lip from anyone. But as soon as I walk around with my “murse” , it’ll never fail – I’ll always hear, “Hey man, nice purse.” I know its just teasing and the insults are nothing to cry over, but my point is: there should be an accessory for us guys that serves both a functional purpose as well as a stylish one. Thank Gaude we’ve got the Belt Pack.

Belt packs have seen a resurgence mainly in Asia and Europe, where new trends, styles and fashion go in an out like the burger joint. As you can see from some of the photos above, they can be worn whichever way you want. But many people, like myself, choose to wear the Belt Packs the way Batman and other Superheroes where their belts – on the waist, son! And that slick/smooth way of wearing style is its prevailing feature. Will it ever make its way Stateside? I really hope so. Because one things for d@mn sure, Men’s accessories and Men’s belt bag fashion has changed. Not saying guys are becoming more fem, but more guys are seeing the practical uses of carrying around satchels, notebook bags, and belt packs. Its IN. A TrendSpot.

So thanks to the Belt Pack, I now have a place for all my shat: the Wallet, the keys, the cell phone, video camera for podcasts, and even my digicam. Its all there! Why have the ladies carry all your things, when you can do it all yourself?

Alright, I get it. With the incessant fist pumps, the constant need to work-out, “The Situation,” the infamous Snooki Punch, the New Jersey accents, and all the other Dramz – Gaude! I can see now why so many people are drawn to the Guidos + Guidettes of the Jersey Shore.

I have to be straight with ya’ll, though. I’m a little late to the Jersey Shore game. As someone who has no access to cable, I’m not entirely up-to-date on “The Situation.” My homie VJD linked me to all the episodes on MTV, and just this past weekend I pretty much got caught up on all things Jersey Shore. Let’s be real here. Shat is entertainingAzifug! But let’s make one thing clear: this post doesn’t focus on the show – it’s about the tanning! Why does every Guidos/Guidettes agenda revolve around getting fit, partying hard, fist-pumps, partying hard, and getting that Haute Tan? Lets take a step back, though. I have this strange feeling of Déjà vu, like I’ve seen the “Tan” lifestyle before. I just can’t put my finger on it. Then it hits me: In Japan there are these Gyaru’s and ganguro/manba…

At the end of the day, the Jersey Shore accomplishes what it sets out to do: to entertain us en masse. And although I hate to admit this, I’m REALLY entertained. After fieldingand answering the many Digital Single-Reflex Lenses (DSLR) questions that my friends and family had for me this past weekend, I thought a post regarding what they (and I) have learned about photography was in order.
