Heirbourne Collection || The Sky is Not the Limit


There’s no doubt that the fashion styles in the Bay Area reflect the diversity of the people living in it. Resources are readily available that anyone who is capable and willing can definitely develop their very own clothing-line. Take for example urban clothing brands or street wear clothing brands. The market already seems overly saturated, yet new brands are still popping up by the minute.

Riding on this train of thought only led me to ask more questions. Naturally I asked myself, “If it’s no secret that the market is saturated, then why would anyone in their right mind want to be in it?” Questions on top of questions that I couldn’t find the answers to—and all I had to do was ask somebody.

Cue in Rymo Cortado aka Rymeezee, MC for First Dirt/Backhand ENT and co-founder of Heirbourne Collection.

He along with his wife Cheryll recently launched the clothing line, and I thought it was fitting to talk about his motivation behind creating it.

What was the catalyst for starting your clothing line?

Our children, first and foremost is the driving force behind the line, and the need for premium streetwear for Adults and especially for children. Most lines are driven by vanity, sports, spinoffs, and sex.

What is the ideology behind the name HeirBourne Collection?

Heirbourne has two meanings: Our children are Heirs to our family kingdom. Everything we work for and leave behind is for them. They’re born royalty from a Godly perspective not by wealth.
-Heirbourne meaning: AirBourne and Fashionably Fly at the same time.

What inspires you? Where do you draw your inspiration when creating?

-Our sons are our inspiration and motivation behind every design. And providing a better future for our heirs is priority. Each piece we put out reflects our family, struggles and beliefs. Rymo AKA Rymeezee (MC for First Dirt / Backhand ENT) provides the soundtrack, and the clothing represents our image as a family and lifestyle.

What are some of the challenges you’ve come across in launching the line?

-Like most people that launch a line, we encountered a lack of reasonable resources, and lack of support. But it’s all good. We wish everybody the best.

Also, this is a saturated market. There’s too much “competition”. Everybody has a Clothing Line. Or they are a rapper, Singer, barber, promoter, model, etc. LOL

What sets you apart from other brands?

What sets us apart is our intentions and reasoning behind our hustle. We represent the struggling families, all aspiring Artists, and the dreams of every child wanting more out of life.

It’s a beautiful thing knowing that anyone can create. The challenge however, lies in creating a product that is good, and can withstand the test of time.
