The Glif is an accessory designed to mount your iPhone to a tripod. The idea is simple enough: the adapter screws onto your tripod, and then you fasten the iPhone comfortably into the Glif’s cradle – thereby allowing you to take photos/videos without camera shake. The street price is ($20) and is very useful for photographers that would like to use their iPhone as a primary photo-capturing device.
The Glif is a handy, lightweight device that allows you to use the iPhone’s camera in new ways. iPhone has already become an integral part of most peoples lives: checking emails, searching the web, sending status updates to our social networks, etc… its all become an extension of who we are in this new age. With the Glif, you may very well add “professional photographer” to the repertoire.
Using the Glif is pretty easy. Attach it to a tripod, slip in your iPhone, and shoot away. It doesn’t get any simpler than that. You’ll also notice right away how less blurry your photos/videos will be. No more nausea for me please! Its also compact, nicely designed, and is probably the reason why its better than any other product on the market right now. The only caveat to the Glif, though, is that your iPhone has to sit naked in the cradle – meaning, no case on your phone. Other than that, it works as advertised and is a real sweet addition to the iPhone.
When I received the Glif, I noticed right away that this is device is solid. The craftsmanship is well done and you can tell right away that the Glif will last a long time. That’s a good thing. Because even if the price were high, but the quality was good, its worth the buy.
The whole set up will run you about street price ($30)
