Roku is streamlining its TV-set-top-box with its own dongle for your HDTV so aptly named the Streaming Stick – a magic stick that streams all types of visual entertainment to your TV. If this works in the same way that Google’s Chromecast works, then you can expect features to include the ability to cast shows and movie from Netflix, YouTube videos, and personal media from your smartphone or tablet to your TV. What puts this over the top of the Google Chromecast? Well, the Roku has access to channeled television and a library full of movies – making a good case for the Streaming Stick. It also comes with a remote control for personal control while still allowing use of your mobile device to act as a remote. I smell a dongle war about to happen!
