This episode of our Spotlight Series features Ieanna Cruz aka DJ Umami. Hailing from the Southbay, but DJ-ing primarily in San Francisco, DJ Umami is a rising star. Music has always been a part of her life, being influenced by sounds from Stevie Wonder, Lionel Ritchie, Roberta Flack, Earth, Wind, and Fire, The Beatles and so much more. At the age of 7, she learned how to play the piano, and a couple of years ago taught herself how to play the guitar. Her true love of music is evident in her work. I had a great time catching up with her, and getting to know her a little bit more.
